I have raced in many triathlon clothing manufacturers’ kits over the last 25 years, and some are better than others. So when it is time to order team gear and have it customized with our logo and design, I choose companies that have quality gear and awesome customer service.

One thing to consider, once you order, returns are generally not accepted unless the garments are defective. Be sure to investigate each brand’s return policy before ordering. Many brands offer fit-kits so you can try on sizes first. I’d recommend this approach since the delivery times for some brands can be up to 12 weeks.

Castelli apparel looks awesome, as long as you get the sizing correct. It can run a bit small, but the company can provide a “fit kit” to try on gear before you order.

Castelli is known for its high-quality materials that can withstand many washes without losing quality. While they are a dominant force in the cycling world, they are less common in the triathlon industry.

Epix Gear offers a simple customization strategy and they offer free design assistance. They are very popular with Solo orders, and become very price effective when purchasing for a Team.

I’ve worn their Pro-edition tri top, bike jersey, tri shorts, and cycling shorts. I prefer their tri shorts personally. The chamois is good in both tri shorts and cycling shorts, however, I found that the waistband seems to loosen up after it’s been wet.

It’s a less high-tech process than other brands, but more reminiscent of how we did things before the internet. After you choose everything, ECYKER’s design team comes up with a mockup for you to review.

Full disclosure – I have not tried their products and do not know anyone who has used them.
